JAN  SMITH  -  Author
Methods and recipes to make meals with little time to prepare under less than ideal situations

Just  Published

    Historical Fiction  Novel

Marie begins her journal Thursday, April 1st, 1858, her forth day on the oxcart trail.  She continues sharing events and recipes until Thursday, July 12, 1858.  At this point in time, she and her family have reached Fort Abercrombie on the very eastern edge of the Dakota Territories, the doorway her husband, Ren, believes to be the "Land of Milk and Honey."
Avid cooks will find an index at the back of the book that will lead to the recipes used by Marie along the oxcart and wagon trails.
